Who We Are

BRIGIA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing educational inequality in East Asia, beginning in Japan. Through academic support, free meal programs, and youth leadership development, we strive to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed regardless of their socioeconomic background.

Meet Our Founder

BRIGIA was founded in 2026 by a high school student Hisanori Oka who believes that every child deserves equal access to educational opportunities. Through tutoring, community service, and international experiences, he recognized that a student's future should never be determined by family income or background.

Our story

Why I Started BriGia

While volunteering as a tutor, I met students whose opportunities were limited not by their ability, but by their financial circumstances. Many could not afford private tutoring or extracurricular activities, making it harder to pursue their goals. My perspective deepened during my exchange year in the United States. I witnessed friends and classmates living with uncertainty because of immigration policies and family background. Those experiences made me realize that where a child is born or how much their family earns should never determine their future.BRIGIA was founded to help change that reality by expanding access to education, building supportive communities, and creating opportunities for young people to learn and lead.
